Pingback: remove unused CPU/OS version detection
...
OS specific versions part of a http query has been Ardour
only. Mixbus never posted any of this information. The section
was #ifdef'ed out. Removing this code for good, simplifies merges.

Copyright-holder and year information is extracted from git log.
git history begins in 2005. So (C) from 1998..2005 is lost. Also some
(C) assignment of commits where the committer didn't use --author.

curl_easy_escape() rather than plain free().

fix cURL/SSL

pingback comes first. We need defaults (with SSL). Later explicit
(Freesound Moocher) and implicit (curl_easy_init) calls to curl_global_init
are idempotent and won't get the flags back.
