+If you don't see both ports you might have to restart the stop and restart
+the audio/midi setup.

+Next, configure Ardour:
+Edit->Preferences
+Select "MIDI/MIDI Port Config"
+Make sure that "Music Data" is selected for BOTH Impact GX*** ports.

+Next, select "Control Surfaces"
+Check-box the "Generic MIDI" entry.
+Now click the "Show Protocol Settings" Button
+Set Incoming MIDI on to "Impact GX*** MIDI 2 (In)"
+Set Outgoing MIDI on to "Impact GX*** MIDI2 (Out)"
+Set the "Smoothing" parameter above 15 and see if you like that setting
